“Yellow” with Van Cleef & Arpels (2017)
對於我來說「Refined」是一種因時期改變而需要變革、再昇華的意味。珠寶經常與女性掛勾，在街上經過一個個的商業珠寶廣告、商店展示的首飾等，通常以女性為主。但一個人對一件物品的偏愛，又何需有性別之分？是次在街頭找來四位男素人模特兒為主角，配上女性化的飾物，突破性別界限之餘，兩者亦相映成趣。對我來說，破舊立新、走出傳統觀念便是一次「Refined」的表現，隨著時代的轉變與開放，男與女的刻板標籤也應該慢慢消除，本作品希望可以表達出美的多樣性。
I see “Refined” as a process of transformation in line with the present. Jewelry is intrinsically linked with females, as evidenced in every jewelry visual - necklaces, bracelets, you name it, all visuals feature female rather than male model. But is there really a gender attached to the love of something? This work features four street cast male models clad in feminine accessories. “Iconoclastic” is my answer to “Refined”. The passage of time heralds a more open-minded society, where gender stereotypes should cease to be. Through this work I want to convey the diversity of beauty.
